Eva & Alex

One of the best things about being a photographer is that you get to see all the fantastic ideas couples have come together on their big day. Eva and Alex decided to do a very personal wedding in Eva’s Mom’s backyard; complete with their own vows and Grandmother’s wedding ring being passed down to Eva. I loved that their ‘green’ wedding style fit them so well. They bought used mugs for each guest to pick out and keep, mismatched plate ware from rummage sales and resale shops, favorite books and quotes pulled from their own bookshelf to use as centerpieces, and other various vintage pieces that pulled the whole wedding together nicely!

Not to mention it isn’t every day you get to play with mustaches and guns at a wedding ; )

Love these guys!

Nicole & Josh

Alright friends, so to keep you posted also means that I have to get you up to date. Sadly, I slacked in the whole blog area last year but I still want to share images of all the amazing people we met along the way! So I am going to pepper in the old with the new. Today I’m going to show a glimpse of Nicole and Josh’s wedding in December. These two did such a wonderful job coordinating their wintery home theme wedding! Nicole’s bouquet was to die for, I adored the style and color of the bridesmaid’s dresses and I loved that the guy’s tuxes weren’t black. They really couldn't have picked a venue that represented them any better, the Stoney Creek Inn of Wausau.  Oh and the cake! Pinecones representing the bride and groom! Yes please : ) The only thing they didn’t have… snow

I think they pulled it off regardless!

2012 | A Year in Review

What a splendid year 2012 has proven to be! To say we are blessed doesn’t even to begin to sum it up. We started Cj PHOTOGRAPHY nearly four years ago and have shared so many remarkable memories and moments with people from all over Wisconsin. Just in 2012 alone we have so many memories to cherish and so many wonderful people to thank for their trust in us! We’ve made friends along the way, captured memories in the moment, shared countless laughs, seen people get engaged, married, start families and begin their next journey in life. This rewarding year we captured 22 remarkable weddings, dozens of engagement sessions, oodles of beautiful maternity, newborn to one year, family and senior sessions.

We’ve even captured the little moments and details that so often go unnoticed including a bride opening a gift from a soon to be husband that he so tenderly wrapped in notebook paper and staples, to dads tearing up as they got to see their beautiful daughters for the first time on their big day, to kids sticking their tongues out at us during family pictures when mom and dad weren’t looking, to a couple who shared laughs with their congregation as they tried with all their might to light their unity candle. We have even shared those tender moments when proud grandparents and parents shed tears of joy as they hugged and kissed the newlyweds.

Because of our astounding 2012 clients and their families and friends, we will always remember to: share our Cheetos, run like the wind when faced with a swarm of bees, show off our dance moves whenever possible, and cherish every little moment we have with those that are near and dear to our hearts.

We cannot WAIT to see what 2013 brings! Enjoy some of our favorite moments and little details from each of our sessions this past year! J Words cannot express how much we love our job!

Now onto the pictures! Enjoy, as there are a lot of them!

Megan & Ben

We've known Megan and Ben for quite some time now and to us, they were always meant to be. We were so honored when they asked us to photograph their wedding day.  There was no doubt in our minds that it was going to be a fun, laughter filled wedding day. Ben with his love of super heroes and fantastic films and Megan with her quick wit... there wasn't a dull moment.

We couldn't be happier for these two lovebirds.  Enjoy some of our favorite moments with them...
