Let's be honest, weddings are FUN and we love them. That being said, THIS was one of our most memorable, fun weddings that we have been part of. Kayla and Sam are surrounded by people who are happy... with a touch of sass of course! We instantly felt welcomed into their circle of friends and it made the entire day a celebration of these two.
Kaylei & Troy
Marry me... marry me in the sunshine, under the whispering willow tree. Grass underfoot and a breeze in your hair - nothing will beat that! Outdoor ceremonies will always be a favorite of ours and Kaylie & Troy had one heck of a beautiful summer wedding day!
These two, like several of our couples, decided to do a first look to ease some of their wedding day jitters and to take care of some family portraits prior to their ceremony. The willows just behind their ceremony site provided the perfect spot for their private meeting! We love that these two were so emotional to see each other during their first look and then all over again while walking down the aisle.
Miranda & Brandon
First looks and outdoor ceremonies. Two of our most favorite things!
Miranda & Brandon had a beautiful summer day with gorgeous greenery all around. Miranda wore a fabulous gown with beads, buttons and lace that fit her like a glove! Her heavily beaded necklace was the perfect addition.
We took Miranda & Brandon to Iverson Park in Stevens Point for their first look. They asked for a green, not so landscaped location - might we say.... it was the PERFECT spot for them. Long grasses, trees everywhere and a bridge that made a great substitute for an isle. First looks are so sweet. It's the couples moment to be alone and enjoy each other's presence. Shortly after their first look, we gathered up the rest of their wedding party and enjoyed our time photographing all of them! These folks are all a ton of fun to be around :) Oh... Did I mention the awesome charcoal gray suites, navy blue ties and the gorgeous color of the bridesmaid dresses?! What a fabulous combination!!
Ok ok, enough out of me! Check out the rest of Miranda & Brandon's wedding day!
Kaitlin & Logan
Oh my goodness... soon the trees will be in all their green glory and we will be able to enjoy more of Wisconsin's great beauty! One of our favorite spots here in Central Wisconsin is Rib Mountain. Breathtaking sites and big gorgeous trees are the perfect combination for a wedding! Kaitlin & Logan picked the PERFECT spot. Their wedding had a wonderful 'home' feel complete with Smores, the rustic beauty of the Sundance Chalet and handcrafted dresses... Yes... those awesome coral bridesmaid dressed were handmade by Kaitlin's SUPER talented mom! On top of all of that greatness this bridal crew kept their feet happy in Vans and Toms. So much good stuff to share! We won't keep you waiting... see for yourself below!
Liz & Kyle
What a beautiful day Liz & Kyle had! A warm summer day with the lake breeze on your face and the sun on your back, perfect day for a wedding. After a sweet ceremony on the lakefront we jumped on the yacht and enjoyed a ride around Green Lake. It was an awesome way to celebrate with friends and family! After the ride we joined the rest of the reception guests on the Heidel House grounds. The Heidel House had no shortage of beauty and the food was yummy. Congrats to the beautiful bride and the handsome groom! Thank you again, Liz & Kyle, for inviting us to capture your day!
Keena & Max
Check out these beauties on their big day! Keena & Max’s outdoor ceremony was held at the amazing Gardens of the Fox Cities with tulips surrounding them as far as your eye could reach. We stopped at a couple of awesome old buildings on our way to their reception at the Meadows Conference Center in Green Bay. Upon entering their hall you saw how hard Keena worked to coordinate and decorate their tables and chairs to their color theme without making each table exactly the same. Keena certainly has an eye for detail! She also made all of the floral arrangements!
The fun didn’t end there! Guests danced the night away with the talents of Midwest Sound of Waukesha!
Cheers to the fabulous couple :)
Eva & Alex
One of the best things about being a photographer is that you get to see all the fantastic ideas couples have come together on their big day. Eva and Alex decided to do a very personal wedding in Eva’s Mom’s backyard; complete with their own vows and Grandmother’s wedding ring being passed down to Eva. I loved that their ‘green’ wedding style fit them so well. They bought used mugs for each guest to pick out and keep, mismatched plate ware from rummage sales and resale shops, favorite books and quotes pulled from their own bookshelf to use as centerpieces, and other various vintage pieces that pulled the whole wedding together nicely!
Not to mention it isn’t every day you get to play with mustaches and guns at a wedding ; )
Love these guys!
